Women who use drugs are often not heard in PLWHIV or positive women’s groups. ICW and INWUD have developed a joint position statement to promote the need to include the voice of women who inject drugs in the HIV movement. Key points from the position statement will be raised and discussed.

This film by Rights Report Foundation and INPUD highlights how the lives of people who use drugs are affected by the global war on drugs, showing individual stories through the course of one day on earth. The cities include Crimea, Budapest, Berlin, Jakarta, Mexico City, and Washington.

Presenters from INPUD, ANPUD and AIVL– will be discussing members’ perspective on UNGASS 2016 and an overview of INPUD advocacy publications. Our communities are directly impacted by the war on drugs. Join us to find out how we fight back against criminalisation, stigmatisation and discrimination of people who use drugs.
